The Curzon Quartet was founded in 2013 to perform classical and early romantic chamber music on period instruments. The group is made up of four young professional who all specialise in historical performance, and play with top international groups such as The Academy of Ancient Music, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Amsterdam Baroque. Fast becoming recognised as one of the most exciting gut-string quartets around, The Curzon Quartet have performed at the Amersham Festival, the Kew Chamber Music series and St Marylebone Parish Church in London. In May, the group collaborated with the Jadin String Trio to pull-off the inaugural 'Really Classical Relay', a three-day relay of concerts at Bristol Music Club. Earlier this year, the Quartet invited cellist Jonathan Rees to join them in two performances of Schubert's String Quintet in C major.
