An entertaining musical programme, including pieces from the Great American Songbook and European jazz as played by Stephane Grappelli, Django Reinhardt and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France in the 1930s and '40s. Examples of other jazz violinists' styles, including the great American jazz violinists Joe Venuti and Stuff Smith will be included; the concert also features one or two unusual stringed instruments.

Mike Piggott has toured, recorded and broadcast with a wide range of artists (as both violinist and guitarist) including Ralph McTell, Bert Jansch, Phil Collins, Diz Disley, Pentangle, John Etheridge, Gary Potter. Keith Nichols and Guy Barker's "Bix" concert series at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room and The Hot Club of London. Humphrey Lyttelton twice opened his BBC Radio 2 show "Best of Jazz" with tracks from Mike's CDs "Blues for Stuff & Steph" and "Take A Walk".

"One of the best jazz-fiddlers active anywhere..." New York Jazz Times.

"Master of the jazz violin...." Jazz UK

Nils Solberg's credits include tours, recordings and broadcasts with Nigel Kennedy, Claire Teal, The Hot Club of London and two world tours with Bryan Ferry. Also with the Diz Disley String Quintet, which included violinist Johnny Van Derek and bassist Coleridge Goode who recorded with Django Reinhardt.

Peter Morgan is much sought after by visiting American jazz musicians, and he has accompanied amongst others, Peanuts Hucko, Kenny Davern, Al Casey, Tal Farlow, Slim Gaillard, Yank Lawson, Jimmy Witherspoon and Harry "Sweets" Edison. Those British musicians he has played with include Humphrey Lyttelton, Digby Fairweather, Alan Elsdon, Martin Litton, Don Rendell, Acker Bilk and Keith Nichols.
