"Jazz and All That"

A popular vocalist, Sarah sings with the Freddie Woods big band, the Dave Pearson big band and in the past with the outstanding Len Phillips big band. She has also performed at the Steyning Jazz Society and at Norwich with John Pearce. She has an impeccable singing style and an incomparable ability to phrase and interpret the Classic American Song Book. She has also sung at the Goodwood revival and at Henley.

He worked in "Tin Pan Alley", then gained entrance to the Guildhall School of Music. His first professional job was playing for the Val Doonican Show on the Isle of Man for the summer season. Since then he has backed many famous stars. He has written and played arrangements for the BBC and TV for both big bands and small combos.

Formed a five-piece beat group in the early sixties, concentrating on vocal harmonies playing Beatles, The Byrds, Beachboys, Fifth Dimension and The Association and many more. Cabaret backings include Vic Damone, Mel Torme, Edie Adams, Rita Moreno, Jim Bailey and many more including making appearances in the fabulous Count Basie Band. He has worked many summer seasons backing a wide variety of cabaret acts. John has a regular Tuesday night residency at The Concord Jazz Club in Eastleigh with singer Shirley Morgan and Tony Day on Piano. John also has his own Rock&Roll band.

Dave has worked at Pontins, Warners and Butlins holiday camps. He toured with Bert Weedon, Tom O'Connor, Mike Reed, The Dallas Boys, Little & Large, Charlie Williams, Cannon & Ball, Bernie Clifton, Dennis Lotis and Irish singer Rose Marie. He has played in a variety of big bands, jazz outfits and also with John and his Rock&Roll band.
