Frida Backman is from Kauniainen in Finland. Frida has undertaken trio and duo concert tours across Finland and the UK, as well as performances in Spain, Germany and Romania. She recently performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with St Paul's Sinfonia. First appearing as concerto soloist at the age of nine she has since performed concertos with the Arion Orchestra, Trinity String Ensemble and Finnish student and youth orchestras. She is guest leader of Bristol's professional orchestra, the Emerald Ensemble.

Ruth Beedham is an English cellist who studied at Trinity College of Music Whilst at Trinity Ruth won the Leonard Smith Prize for string duo and also gained a scholarship to continue her studies with Natasha Pavlutskya on the postgraduate diploma course. Ruth now studies with Naomi Butterworth.

Marcus Andrews is well known to the Club. Born in Pagham, he studied piano with Yvonne Dinwiddy, with Simon Young at Trinity College of Music and with Neal Larrabee at the University of Connecticut. Winner of the Trinity College of Music Trust Silver Medal and the TWIYCA Accompanist Prize, he is in much demand as a soloist and chamber musician. Marcus is a professor of piano at Blackheath Conservatoire and a staff accompanist at Trinity College of Music.
