"The most exceptionally gifted young violinist I have encountered" - Ruggiero Ricci

Gary Matthewman is the current holder of the Legal & General Junior Fellowship at the Royal College of Music. During his studies there he developed a strong interest in song and chamber music, and now works almost exclusively within these fields. He is the winner of the accompaniment prizes at the 2005 Royal Overseas League Competition.

Gary has performed alongside some of today's leading young singers and instrumentalists, including Elizabeth Watts (soprano), Jared Holt (baritone) and the Sacconi String Quartet. He has also collaborated with such established artists as Nicholas Daniel (oboe), Simon Rowland-Jones (viola) and Susan Milan (flute). He has made several live broadcasts for BBC Radio 3.
